Recipe for Success
Success to you means?
- Earning loads of money
- Getting the respect, you
have been dreaming since your early days
- Can easily influence anyone
even with a skewed smile
- Doing something for the
society which is crumbling
With all the options
given and if you ever had a chance to choose one, I bet 90% would go for the 4th
one. Do you know the reason for this huge inclination towards the last option?
Is it something that has influenced your mind since few years, where you have
been seeing/imagining things up to a level where every person in this society
is corrupt, the rich is getting richer while the poor is getting poorer? You
see no light at the end of the tunnel, you are forced to live in a country
where you see no scope for yourself and your coming generations?
If you took even a
fraction more than 2 second time limit for any of the options, it is high time
you are doomed. You are the person who are more on the blame game side. You
have still not taken the charge of your life and you have been more into day
dreaming. You are living in a country where people love debating over tea
whether it is politics or someone’s personal issue. Issues that are debated and
solved at tea joints.
“A developing country is
where a bunch of idiots are not trying enough”
The best thing that you
should make out of here is that you are still living in a country which has
given you everything and expects nothing out of your daily life. I have met
people who have been blaming government for taking no steps, country for its
outdated policies, people for their behaviour, society for rest of the issues.
They would start the conversation with cursing each and everything around them
and would end with a fictional solution which will be way beyond reality.
Do you think that things
work this way? I assure you they don’t.
Problem is not in having
a solution it is rather not in finding the solution. Consider this, Rahul
Gandhi is successful, not by what he does or speaks but by the position he
holds. For your information, at present he is the leader of opposition of a
party which has ruled (not governed) India for more than 40 years. So, is that
a problem for you? Do you have a solution? Do you form a part of that solution?
If no is the answer than stop cribbing about everything
You can consider yourself
successful when you are part of a society which feels proud in growing with
you. When rather than cribbing and whining you take the initiative. It is not
always about the money and the status, rather it is about the outcomes that you
can affect by your action. This definition is more of a relative one where it
depends on the context and not on the pre-defined things. Solution as such has no
perfect recipe, it all depends on how you see and perceive things.
After all life is too
short for complaining, take a step ahead and start being Successful.
